"I would say buy these for the clarity, they are clean! But don't be taken in by the name, they are still a yellow quartz. They are suppose to be natural, so that is another reason to buy since I think citrine are heat treated. I have a lot of citrines in a wide range of yellows and golds, and I don't feel this is that different in color. Forget the name, then see if it does anything for you. If you get a cut that has more facets, it would be prettier. In jewelry, it would pair well with the champagne diamonds, so that is also a plus. As a collector, I'll put a couple in my set, but wouldn't want scads of them."
