"Liked the subtle color changes - a completely different type of gemstone. Very appealing.
Was put off by a large visible inclusion in the center stone, but it's my understanding that most of these have inclusions.
Ditch the tiny diamonds on the side and make these bigger stones and you've got the perfect ring."

"This is a color change sparkler!! Orange, green, brown, etc. They call this stone a "poor man's alexandrite." Not true! This is a beautiful example of a stone that has earthtone color change. Give it a try. I'm glad I did. Unique, exotic and special! Those words express the sweet color change of andalusite!"

"I had never seen an Andalusite in person but happened to see one on another channel, I checked your prices which were much better and for larger stones. I didn't know what to expect color wise and was very pleased with this ring. The colors in it are very pretty and it has a lot of sparkle. Anyone who loves the fall colors will love this stone. I wonder why it isn't more well know. For me it is a keeper."

Fast Facts
| Depending on the viewing direction, andalusite can appear olive green, rich reddish brown, or grayish green. |
| Unlike alexandrite, andalusite color changes are pleochroic and based on viewing angle - not lighting. |
| Andalusites are often cut so that the table is green with red or orange on the edges. |
Named after the Spanish city Andalusia, andalusite was first discovered in Spain.
|
|
Andalusite is a naturally occurring pleochroic gemstone. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, andalusite is 7.5. It has a vitreous or matte luster, and primary sources include Australia, Brazil, Canada, Russia, Spain (Andalusia), Sri Lanka, and the United States.
Color
Andalusite is typically found in yellow-green, green, or brownish-red shades. As the andalusite stone is rotated, different colors and different intensities of colors can appear, including olive green, rich reddish brown, or grayish green.
