"I looked and looked at this ring online before ordering--glad I ordered it for a closer look as it is really quite nice--the side blue diamonds are noticeable and nice BUT the real story is the back to back little diamonds in row after row--the picture looks like there might be some duds, you know, diamonds that are too flawed and flat and nonreflective with light--no, not in my ring anyway. ALL the diamonds, even though small, are sparkle-city. And there are on average 6 prongs per diamond--although some have only 2 or 3--looks like they'll stay put. The ring is quite comfortable too and looks nice with "guard rings" if you have those JTV half blue, half white diamond bands. Very nice if you want just a touch of blue and a ton of glitter--this is your ring!"

Fast Facts

Diamond is crystallized carbon, the only gem composed of a single element. The most popular diamonds are traditionally colorless, but they can also be found in yellow and brown colors. Although much rarer, diamonds known as “fancies” also come in blue, red, pink, green, orange, black, lavender and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, diamond is the world’s hardest substance at 10. It has a high luster and primary sources include South Africa, Namibia, Australia, Botswana, Russia, Zaire, Brazil, Ghana, Angola, Central African Republic and Canada.
