Product Description for Min 1.25ct 8x6mm Oval Paraiba Tourmaline

Tourmaline was named after "turmali", the Sinhalese word for "mixed", probably because of the variety of colors it's found in and the fact that it can be bi-, tri- or parti-colored. Tourmaline ranks a tough 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs' scale of hardness. It is the national gemstone of the U.S. but is found all over the world, with colors varying depending on its origin. Indicolite is the name for the deep blue to greenish-blue variety, and rubellite is the pink-red color.

"Iknow it's SOLD OUT because I bought the last one, But this way I get to say THANK YOU to JTV and some one will read it and maybe smile! I bought a 7x5 some time back and loved it so much that I wear it very often, but this one (8x6) is even deeper and more beautiful than the first! Now I'm on the search again for the PERFECT semi mount (without having to buy a ring just to pop the stone out which I had to do before). This gem will stay in our family for years to come and someday be loved by my daughter as much as I love it. Thank you all again."
