Product Description for Min .65ct 7x5mm Oval Paraiba Tourmaline-TLV7501ATourmaline was named after "turmali", the Sinhalese word for "mixed", probably because of the variety of colors it's found in and the fact that it can be bi-, tri- or parti-colored. Tourmaline ranks a tough 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs' scale of hardness. It is the national gemstone of the U.S. but is found all over the world, with colors varying depending on its origin. Indicolite is the name for the deep blue to greenish-blue variety, and rubellite is the pink-red color.

"This was the first paraiba tourmaline gemstone I have purchased, and also the first aparaisel I have had done through JTV. I paid $299 for a .65ct 7x5 oval. It weighed .77 ct. My appraisal was $580. The cut was very good and it was a VVS. Although the brilliance was 50% and the color and tone were very light. It did look darker on tv but I understand each stone is different out of a sku. I'm keeping it and want to add another"
