    "Had never seen Heliodor up close and personal until now, what a suprize this was for me. A clean brilliant heavy stone. This one was to weigh in at 1.00ct and the one I received weighed 1.60ct. You always seem to get more than what you pay for or at least what you pay for and the quality is always soo good. Thanks Jewelry Television. I priced Heliodor elsewhere and you would be shocked, check it out sometime. This was maximum overload for me."

    "Normally I try to buy untreated stones when possible. The price on this stone caused me to try this and I was not disappointed. Nice colour, as usual with JTV the weight was above the minimum specified and very clean. It looks wonderful in sunlight and I'm very pleased with this purchase."

    The colors of yellow beryl range from pale lemon to rich gold. Beryl with lush golden hues is sometimes referred to as heliodor.
    Pliny the Elder recommended beryl as an exceptional cure for eye diseases.
    Considered an oracle stone, beryl was once considered useful in divining the future and in look for missing items.
    Some of finest Heliodor is sourced in Madagascar.





    Heliodor is from the Beryl family of gemstones. It exhibits a range of yellow from lemon-yellow to golden-yellow. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, Heliodor is 7.5-8. It has a vitreous luster and primary sources include Brazil, Madagascar, Namibia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
