    Heliodor is the yellow variety of beryl, cousin to aquamarine, emerald, and morganite. Other colors of beryl are referred to by their color, such as golden beryl or red beryl. Heliodor is found in Brazil, Madagascar, the U.S. (North Carolina and California), in Middle Eastern countries, and Russia. It has a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on Mohs' scale.

    "of yellow gems. I have never seen this gem in jewelry. Because of the bright yellow, would make fantastic ring. Yellow Andy/Lab and also Yellow Qtz aren't as pretty as this gem. It has a bright bold true color. I would highly recommend at least one for your collection and this one is on sale now!"

    "There was nothing wrong with this gemstone but I sent it back because I ordered two other stones. I kept a 5 carat which was tagged as a 4 carat. This stone was just slightly over 2 carats so the other gemstones ended up being better bargains. The color and cut were fine. I can't say anything was wrong with it."
