Product Description for Min 4.50ct 12x10mm Oval Rutilated Quartz-63V1210AMost varieties of quartz are prized for having few or no inclusions, which increases their value; rutilated quartz is more valuable and sought after because of its inclusions. These "inclusions" are golden needles of rutile that form different patterns inside the stone, sometimes referred to as "Venus hair." Each pattern is as different as two snowflakes are from each other, and some of them are remarkably beautiful. It is a great collector's stone and ranks 7 on Mohs' hardness scale.

"I was impressed by this gem. Never cared much for quartz but after seeing this stone I was pleased. I plan on having my jeweler surround the stone with pave diamonds for a spectacular right hand ring."

"Did not look like the internet version at all. There was so little difference in the color of the rutiles and the quartz that the gem looked like "crackeled" glass. Not the usual JTV standard."

"This was only my 2nd purchase from JTV, but what a great one it was. This gem absolutely sparkles and captivates. The tiny strands look like golden spiderwebs, and the clarity is unbelievable. I definitely would recommend this gemstone to anyone, and JTV is the best at service, shipping, and value."
