"I had such high hopes for this ring, it is my son's birthstone, past present, future design, large emerald cut stones, great reduced price, but I was very disappointed when it arrived as there was absolutely no color in the aquamarines. Great details in the gallery, gold weight was good, but was looking for some blue color."

"I picked this ring out and received it as a surprise for Valentines' day. It is a beautiful ring, mine has great color and was a fantastic value. The color is pale but still blue enough to tell it is an Aquamarine. I think the darker blues look more like Blue Topaz. I also own an Aquamarine pendant that is pear shaped surrounded by Diamonds. I love both items!!"

"My daughter saw the ring on JTV and loved it so I ordered it as a surprise for her graduation since it is also her birthstone. I was so excited when it arrived, until I opened the box. The setting is beautiful but the aquamarines were completely colorless - what a disappointment. I sent it back the next day asking for an exchange for another ring with better color stones, so I'm hoping for the best on the next one. If the color isn't any better with the next ring, I'll simply return it and start looking again for a ring for her that she will want to have forever."

Lore
Ancient sailors traveled with aquamarine crystals, believing that it would insure a safe passage, and often slept with the stones under their pillow to insure sound sleep. They believed the siren’s (mermaid) fish-like lower body was made of aquamarine.
