"This was my first tanzanite purchase. My mom is a huge tanzanite lover, and has bought several pieces from here and loves them all. I decided that I needed to added one for my collection. This one was right up my alley and price range. When i got it, i fell in love with it. It is worth way more than i paid for it. My stone close to one carat easy, with the beautiful blue purple color too it. Its not top grade deep deep blue color, but it has more blue than purple in it. I've seen several tanzanite's under 1 carat and know what the color range can be for those type of stones and i am very impressed by this stone. It is flat out beautiful. If you are going to buy one, buy this one or buy two of them."

"OK..Let's start with the bad and get that out of the way. The stone is not blue...it's lavender. I almost sent it back. The reason I didn't is because it had a saturation of color that deserved AAA easily. I've never seen anything like it. I can't stop looking at it! It's great that I get to keep it, but I had purchased it for a client. I am on a fixed income and I buy and sell jewelry for an income supplement. I'm not at all a "high roller" and I HAVE to care about my reputation. Oh well...it's time to look at my stone again. If you don't own any tanzanite you need to get some."

Tanzanite is a variety of zoisite.
