"Since I had never purchased black diamonds before, I didn't know what to expect before I opened the box. The black diamonds are more sparkly than the white ones. Too, the silver separating the white from the black diamonds is thicker than the picture shows and detracts from the beauty of both. But all in all, it's a great buy. I plan to keep it. I'm anxious to see my friends' reactions to the ring."

"I like the style of this ring, but the baquettes had large carbon spots. I am returning it in the hopes that I receive cleaner diamonds."

"I purchased this ring for myself expecting a poor quality product due to the price vs. the carat weight. I was pleasingly surprised. I challenge anyone to find a better deal on black diamonds. While this ring is obviously not of gem quality due to the price, it is still a great buy. The design of the ring is so unique and the contrast of the black diamonds with the white truly makes the ring. I cannot say enough. I took a chance purchasing this and it paid off. I would tell anyone who is in the market for colored diamonds to give this ring a try. Thanks JTV"

Fast Facts
| Diamond is the hardest known gemstone on earth. |
| In 1477, Archduke Maximillian gave his betrothed a ring set with a diamond as a love token, making it the first recorded diamond engagement ring. |
| Diamond comes from the Greek word “adamas” meaning invincible. |
| Some beautiful purple color garnets will often be found in kimberlite (blue ground) soil samples in diamond rich areas and called diamond indicators. |
As diamonds are formed by nature, most naturally develop minute imperfections known as inclusions. A diamond is considered “clean” if a trained eye cannot see inclusions when viewing the diamond through a color corrected lens at 10 times magnification. |
|
Diamond is crystallized carbon, the only gem composed of a single element. The most popular diamonds are traditionally colorless, but they can also be found in yellow and brown colors. Although much rarer, diamonds known as “fancies” also come in blue, red, pink, green, orange, black, lavender and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, diamond is the world’s hardest substance at 10. It has a high luster and primary sources include South Africa, Namibia, Australia, Botswana, Russia, Zaire, Brazil, Ghana, Angola, Central African Republic and Canada.
