Product Description for Min 2.00ct 10x8mm Oval Rubellite Tourmaline

Red to pink colors of tourmaline are called rubellite. Perfect for everyday wear, tourmaline is fairly durable at 7.5 on Mohs' scale and it has no cleavage, reducing the risk of breakage and chipping. Sometimes referred to as the "electric stone," tourmaline becomes statically charged when heated or rubbed, attracting dust, lint, and small pieces of paper. Tourmaline possesses one of the widest color ranges, reproducing every conceivable color in spectrum, and is found primarily in Brazil.

"this stone is beautiful if you want a violet/pink stone. It was sold on TV as a red stone. You showed a red stone, but this is not red at all, so I have to rate it accordingly. If I had wanted any color stone, this one does appear to be a good quality stone, just not red."

"I am sending this stone back for several reasons: It has a dull color, not vibrant. I didn't like the cut,it just seemed to have made the lack of color worse. It resembled a garnet.
It may work for you. It is a good price, and going up in value everyday."
