"I have been looking for a large carat weight, deep london blue pear shaped topaz for a long time. I have been comtemplating this ring for about 2 weeks and decided to take the plunge. I'm so happy that I did! It is so beautiful and everything I wanted in a ring. I can't stop staring at it! Thanks JTV!!!"

"I just got this ring yesterday and I really love it. The quality is good. The price is great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the color wasn't as dark as I expected it to be. To me, it's not as dark as the picture shown online but it's still a pretty london blue and I am still happy with this ring."

"There's a little more green in it than I expected but the stone is beautiful. The band is a little thin in the back but it's fine for occasional wear."

Fast Facts
| The origin of the name could be from the ancient Topasos Islands near Greece. |
| Topaz can be very costly and rare when they occur naturally in unusual colors. All colors have been a popular choice for jewelry since European royalty started collecting gemstones. |
| Europeans preferred colorless Topaz as a substitute for diamond when those stones were unavailable. The reason was because it was often available in excellent clarity rough and took a beautiful high polish. |
Topaz is the birthstone of December. |
|
Topaz is a gemstone found in vivid colors. Exhibiting a wide range of colors, it appears as yellow, orange, red-brown, light to dark blue, pink-red, red, violet, light green, colorless and in unusual colors such as mystic, ocean, glacier, patriot, canary, champagne, orchid, dawn, teal and kiwi. Topaz has a vitreous luster and sources include Brazil (Minas Gerais), Afghanistan, Australia, Burma (Myanmar), China, Japan, Madagascar, Mexico, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia (Urals, Transbaikalia), Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and the United States.
