    Drusy (also druzy or druse) quartz is an unusually beautiful crust of small crystals that has formed on the surface of another rock or mineral. The tiny crystals found inside geodes are a common form of drusy quartz. It is often dyed to enhance its color. Like all quartz, drusy has a Mohs' rating of 7.

    "I bought two of these, and they sort of match, but aren't nearly as pretty as the picture. I got four others in different colors and sizes, and none of those match, so they're kind of out for earrings. If you're not trying to match, and don't mind it not looking like the picture, they are pretty, it was just frustrating not to get two that were the same color."
