"I ordered this .80 minimum (got 1 carat stone) a while ago. It is dark but not murky at all. Guess I lucked out on the clarity. It is a lively bronzy-gold with pink, orange and red flash. Maybe I'm not too picky about extreme clarity, because the colors are gorgeous. Anyway, loop clean or SI diamonds are off the charts expensive in white diamonds, so I feel that a few inclusions don't detract from these stones unless the inclusions are such that they undermind the beauty or durability of the stone. I order as many as I can, as I believe these may some day be in the rarified atmosphere of the other colored diamonds. In the truly rare colors such as red, blue and green (natural), clarity is not even a major part of the evaluation of the stone. They're just too rare. Anyway, brown is losing it's stigma in gemstones in general. Rather than a "mask," in brown diamonds, it is a "hue." I've learned much from reading and looking at stones."

"As suggested by other customers,I ordered 2 stones to compare. Although the color is dark as shown in the picture, both stones were scratched in the lower left corner. The quality and cut were very poor for the cost even with a coupon. Returning both."

Fast Facts
| Diamond is the hardest known gemstone on earth. |
| In 1477, Archduke Maximillian gave his betrothed a ring set with a diamond as a love token, making it the first recorded diamond engagement ring. |
| Diamond comes from the Greek word “adamas” meaning invincible. |
| Some beautiful purple color garnets will often be found in kimberlite (blue ground) soil samples in diamond rich areas and called diamond indicators. |
As diamonds are formed by nature, most naturally develop minute imperfections known as inclusions. A diamond is considered “clean” if a trained eye cannot see inclusions when viewing the diamond through a color corrected lens at 10 times magnification. |
|
Diamond is crystallized carbon, the only gem composed of a single element. The most popular diamonds are traditionally colorless, but they can also be found in yellow and brown colors. Although much rarer, diamonds known as “fancies” also come in blue, red, pink, green, orange, black, lavender and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, diamond is the world’s hardest substance at 10. It has a high luster and primary sources include South Africa, Namibia, Australia, Botswana, Russia, Zaire, Brazil, Ghana, Angola, Central African Republic and Canada.
