"This ring is as if someone gathered up a basket full of sunshine and turn into a beautiful ring. I was a little wary to order a ring that cost so little. I opened the box with great caution and a bit of dread but the ring took my breath away. Why oh why didn't I order two?"

"I couldn't believe the price on this ring. I didn't have high expectations because of that, but, once again, JTV provided quality for a ridiculously low price. I have a solitaire that I paid a whole bunch more for but the color of the stones are of equal quality. It is a lovely ring."

"This thrifty buy is cut , faceted and constructed to have a very elegant look. The stones are generous and the ring looks good on the hand. My only problem with it is that the citrine is very pale. It's almost the color of labradorite instead of citrine. A very good value and great for a gift or everyday wear."

Due to its bright earth tones, Citrine is a popular stone for jewelry designers.
Gloria Swanson and other great old film stars of Hollywood brought citrine to the public awareness in the late 30???s. She wore her own flamboyant citrine jewelry in her films. At that time, it was so unavailable to the general population, that it cost a fortune. Today we can have the same beautiful stones very affordably.
Citrine enjoys a reputation for being usually clean--naturally not included.




Citrine is a quartz crystal. While its name refers to a lemon yellow color, citrine can be found in a range of yellows from light yellow to dark yellow and golden brown. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, citrine is 7. Sources include Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Argentina, Burma (Myanmar), Namibia, Russia, Scotland and Spain.
