"We purchased this round Medusa Quartz along with a smaller trillion. With the other reviews, were didn't know what to expect. The stone was plentiful with the "Jellyfish" and has good clarity. Our trillion did live up to expectations, but this one definately did. A good amount of teals, dark blues with a few specs of red can be easily seen. Can not wait to show this one off."

"I was so excited to get my first piece of Medusa Quartz but when I opened the package it was a huge disappointment. I have shopped with JTV for years and have been very pleased with the quality of most of my purchases but this gem had a huge crack running nearly the entire length of the stone."

"This stone was cut for weight, not beauty. The pavilion is so deep, fat, and poorly cut it makes the center of the stone go extinct, causing a dark area that's plainly visible to the eye to move around the center of the stone when rotated. The inclusions appear to be upside down in the stone, and orienting and cutting from the other side would likely have made it look more pleasing, as is the case with the other Medusa quartz I purchased (which has its own problems). The only reason I am likely to keep this stone is because I was looking for a specimen this size, and not something intended for wearing."
