"The ring is just okay. It looks like the stone is too big for the setting and does look like it could be broken easily. It looks like costume jewelry and not like it is nearly worth the money paid for it."

"Even though the 'diamonds' are inconsequential - with no sparkle at all - this ring still gets an excellent rating because the topaz is clean, well-cut and spectacular, and the setting is classy contemporary. It is a keeper."

"The good news is my topaz stone was flawless...the bad news is my topaz stone was so flawless, it looked fake. Had it been a different cut, it might have looked more like a real stone. Overall design was/is amazing but in person, the diamonds were simply chips -- bigger diamonds for a little more money might have changed my mind. Mine went back!"

Fast Facts
| The origin of the name could be from the ancient Topasos Islands near Greece. |
| Topaz can be very costly and rare when they occur naturally in unusual colors. All colors have been a popular choice for jewelry since European royalty started collecting gemstones. |
| Europeans preferred colorless Topaz as a substitute for diamond when those stones were unavailable. The reason was because it was often available in excellent clarity rough and took a beautiful high polish. |
Topaz is the birthstone of December. |
|
