Product Description for Min 1.25ct 7mm Round Tanzanite-T0738

Tanzanite was discovered in 1967. It has a unique violet-blue to blue color that only Ceylon sapphire and iolite come close to matching, with red-violet flashes. Tanzanite ranks a respectable 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs' scale, but loose stones and jewelry like rings and bracelets need to be treated with care to prevent damage. Tanzanite is only found in one place in the world, Tanzania, and the continued availability of tanzanite is uncertain, which increases its rarity and its price.

What a deal no it's not blue but I don't like the blue I like the the dark violet with the flashes of pink and this stone it fits the bill . Do you think that when the mine closes that people will shun the violet aaa color I don't think so.I have other pieces and it fits well with my collection.Buy this stone it's a great price."

"It was a wonderful value with the best cut I have seen. This was a winner all the way. It weight an extra 12 points. I have purchased
an oval that weighed an extra 87 points. It was beautiful but the cut
was off. You certainly get what you pay for and more. Thanks for
all the things you have taught me and the wonderful values."

"I ordered two of these at 1.25 ct. One ended up being 1.4 ct. and one was 1.5 ct. The stones are medium-dark blue, and very clear. This was one heck of a bargain!"
