"Host stated that this was a gem quality tanzanite because of the color, the stone I got had banding throughout the stone and was not blueberry blue but purple... the banding was clearly visible....was not worth 1800.00 was a 2.25 round"

Tanzanite is a variety of zoisite. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, tanzanite is 6.5-7. The prime source of all the world’s tanzanite is in Tanzania near Arusha.
