"but not quite. This is a very nice quality ring but the garnets were not even close to the color shown if they had been there would not have been any doubt what so ever on keeping it. The garnets in my ring that i recieved was more dark amber and the two outer garnets was darker than the middle one, if they had been the same i may have kept it but i did send it back for color only. I may try again later because it is a very nice ring as long as the garnets were close to orange or orange red. I would recommend for great quality and great garnets hence color was right i'm sure i probably got the only off one thats usually what happens. Thanks JTV i will keep trying to get the ONE!"

"I was quite surprised at the beauty of this ring. It looked nice on the website, however, it is much prettier on the hand. The diamonds are quite sparkly and a decent color unlike most of the diamonds used as accent stones in the JTV jewelry. JTV uses gorgeous stones and then they use gray diamonds as accents which destroys and cheapens the look of the whole piece. The garnets are small but pretty. It has a nice spread on the finger. Not too small. I prefer large rings. Gold weight is ok. Well worth the price. Once again wish it was in 14kt. Would pay the extra to see more pieces in 14kt gold. Wore it with my spessertite garnet pendant."

Spessartite is a rare garnet ranging from a yellowish-orange to an intense fiery orange known as mandarin garnet.




Spessartite is a brilliant transparent gemstone. The colors of spessartite garnets can range from a bright vibrant orange to a deep red-orange color, and even some brownish and greenish oranges. Spessartite was once just a collector's gem but moved into mainstream gemology in the 1990s. Spessartite is 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs' scale of hardness and, like all garnet, is untreated, so the beautiful color that you see is strictly as nature created it.
