"I love these castings, mine are in yellow gold. i made one with a
tanzanite stone and the other a emerald. everyone who see them want one also. they need to bring back the yellow gold castings."

"The ring is exactly like the picture. I like the weight, not heavy but not too light either. I'm hoping to put a Tanzanite in it if the stone I bought is as good looking as the ring."

white zircon ring

"This may be a bit winded, but I have something very important to convey if you are considering this casting. I've used this casting twice now. The 1st time it was with a 6x4 cherry fire opal and gave it to my oldest daughter as a birthstone ring. When I pressed the prongs over the stone, a part of the table chipped but it was still wearable. I learned then that softer stones are not for this very sturdy casting. Then after a week of wearing, the stone fell out and I think it was also because the stone was to soft to keep its form in the prongs. Fotunately, I only paid like 6 dollars for the stone. So the second time around I chose a white zircon. It set perfectly the first time with no chips and the stone has been in since last spring. It would be fare to mention though she has only wore the ring 6 times. Now I did check the stones both times to make sure that they were secure but it looks like the zircon or a harder stone for that matter was better suited for this casting. See picture, this ring looks great. I would also like to add this note: This is my second experience with the snaptite ring castings 1st a 6x4 oval and 2d a 6M round ring where both lost their stones the first time I set them. With the 6M round, I put a 6M 1 carat Blue diamond in it and was lucky to have found that diamond sitting on my desk after the prongs of the ring hooked on a desk clock releasing the tension of the prongs. The gemstone hosts make it seem that once you set that puppy there is no way it will come out. I don't believe that to be true. If you check all my reviews, you will read many of my adventures and tips to setting jewelry through my trial and errors so I am not a novice at this. When I check for security...I check for security, especially when setting a 1 carat Blue Diamond. The reason I chose this style of ring was to forgo the jeweler fees, but now I think it would be better to have a jeweler look at it anyway just to be sure! Especially if you love the tiffany style of ring like I do. It could not hurt."
