"I had been searching for an Aquamarine for a while now, that was set in gold. Everything seemed to be set in white gold and or was too small. I like a ring that can be seen from across the room (2+ctw).
I like this ring because the color in blue, where as everyone that I seemed to find that was set in gold seemed to be white looking or very little blue and I also like the fact that there is no diamond around the ring (all you see in the blue and gold band). Now don't get me wrong sometimes I like diamond set around a ring and I own several, but for some reason this one looks good without the diamond.
I am very pleased that I finally hung in there and found this ring.

Thanks JTV"

"The thing is, the aquamarine is beautiful, very clear, uniform color, intense color which you often do not see in aquamarines. Then when you look at the setting, it is very light, very skimpy and leaves me wishing that the price had been higher, and the setting heavier. The stone actually deserves that much. I will keep it because I really liked the stone, but the setting is wimpy. Guys, please. Beef up the settings. I would definitely pay more for a better, more substantal setting."

Lore

Ancient sailors traveled with aquamarine crystals, believing that it would insure a safe passage, and often slept with the stones under their pillow to insure sound sleep. They believed the siren’s (mermaid) fish-like lower body was made of aquamarine.
