"I was hoping this Azurite would be bigger then what it is, a three inch by two and a half inch is not a large stone. I had been to a fair after I ordered from JTV and found quite a few of these rocks, all much bigger then the one I got and around $5.00 to $10.00 more, but the ones that were the same size as mine were going for $8.00 to $10.00. The color in my rock was just as vivid but had more sparkle. I do not want to spend more money to send it back but I think JTV should take the word "large " off the description.
I do think the rock is cute and it's sitting with the rest of my collection."

"Sometimes, you just get lucky. I've been wanting for some time to own a rock like this, and with the sale price, I just couldn't resist. Our stone is about the size of a (Red Sox) baseball, a beautiful rich green, with plenty of deep blue in caverns throughout. Truly beautiful, and now sitting on the mantel above our fireplace. We love it!"

"I don't agree with the other raving reviews for this specimen, but it is a nice piece of nature. The blue and green are true to the web site image, but my rock doesn't have the all over color dispersal. The exterior of the specimen has course-grained texture with a little green and even less blue on the surface of a black rock. It reminds me of moss or lichen. The interior looks as if this rock formed with an air pocket inside because it is smooth overall- very fine grained in the center. Around the edges however, there are two course grained bands, one of Malachite and the other of Azurite. Parts of the Azurite has fine crystal structure that reflects the light, looking a lot like dark blue glitter. It's unusual enough for me to keep and is approximately 3" x 4" x 2"."

"This specimen was of very good size and the colors were beautiful. The green malachite among the Azurite was very well disbursed throughout. If I had to use one phrase to describe its beauty it would be "mystical and magical to behold."
