    "Thanks to all the previous reviews I was assured that the pendant I was purchasing was going to be the lovely lighter amethyst. By looking at the pic on the web-site I would never had purchased this pendant because of the dark purple stones. This pendant is very victorian looking and the lighter color works well with with the marcasites. It is truely a piece of eye candy. This one is definitely a keeper!"

    "As the other reviewer stated, the stones in this pendant are not the dark amethyst as the photo shows. Instead, the stones in the pendant I received were a light lavender color. However, they were all evenly matched in color, eye clean and not cloudy. With 14 amethysts of the same color, the pendant is still impressive although light in color. The fourteen marcasite stones surrounding the amethyst make it a statement piece which still has an antique look to it. The bail is large enough for a good size chain, the sterling is substantial and well made. It is a little longer than the advertised 1 1/2" and it is also about 1/2" deep. I purchased this as a Christmas gift and felt it was well worth the price even though the stones were light in color. I know I would be happy to receive this as a gift and I feel comfortable giving it. Also, thanks JTV for the bonus video on rubies!"

    "The amethyst pendant is not as dark as in the picture. It is still a very pretty pendant and very much worth the money. I also bought the ring and it is the same color which is nice because they match. This is a good buy."
