Ranging in color from raspberry red to violet pink to pale pink and sometimes a peachy coral/melon color, this transparent, translucent, untreated gem is also sometimes referred to as "raspberyl" and ranks an 8 on the Mohs' hardness scale. It is found in Madagascar.
