    "I bought these to use for tightening prongs, and so far I haven't had to use them. To tell you the truth, I haven't the foggiest idea how to use them. I'll just have to experiment when the time comes. I can say they seem well made and fit my hand well, they don't fill stiff or flimsy."

    "These pliers are to make round beads on the tips of the prong settings for gemstones. I have started setting some gemstones into castings and semi-mounts. I found that while I was getting the prongs to hold the stones, the looked squared off on the tips. These pliers will do the trick. One end is pointy for the under-side of the ring and the other end in is round with a concave cup. This cup fits over the prong so you can round it into a bead. I purchased another tool for this from a jewelry supply but it does not work very well. This one is sturdy and will work."
