    "I used this casting for a 7x5 blue apatite gemstone to match a pair of 5M earrings also set in WG. Please forgive the tacky chain it is on. It is a WG baby box chain that stays tangled. I HATE THAT CHAIN! If fact I may have to break it to get the pendant off of it is just that bad. I recommend a singapore chain. But look how pretty the pendant looks (see picture). It was very easy to use and set. White gold anything in castings go quickly so grab them when you can. This casting also has an open back which is good when you get a stone that has a deep pavillion. Deeper pavillions happen often in larger stones like 10x8s on up but occasionally in this size. What happens when the back is closed and you have a deeper pavillion, the stone will set but pop out so when given a choice, I usually go for the open backs plus an open back allows more light to radiat through the stone making it sparkle more from the front. I've read some reviews where these castings are soft in the gold and although that is true, a perfect fit with the gemstone keeps it in tact and makes it sturdy!"
