    "This amethyst is simply stunning! It is richer than any I have seen before. I had a headless diamond mounting I had been saving for just the right stone and this was a perfect match for it. I know how much it can cost to have a jeweler order a plain gemstone mounting head for rings so I found a cheaper and more beautiful way around that. I ordered one of JTV's scroll pendant castings in the 11x9 yellow gold Emerald cut and had my jeweler take off the fancy design bail-which I saved to upgrade a future pendant, and use it as the mounting head. It turned out wonderful and gave it the extra touch to make this ring absolutely REGAL! So many of the high end rings these days have yellow gold mounting heads in your white gold or platinum and this makes it so much richer looking, and makes it blend with all your white gold or yellow gold jewelry! Remember use your imagination!!!"
