"I am a little confused as to how people could not realize these are unfinished strands. They are in the Jewel School area. The description explains they are starands of beads. No clasp, because there is none. Anyway.... the beads are a great size. Very nice color for the quality. No chipping or crazing. The price is affordable. If you are looking for aquamarine for earrings, bracelet, pendant, or ankle bracelett...these are nice."

"I received this and the 10 mm temporarily strung 18 inch beads of aquamarine. I thought I purchased a completed necklace , I had no idea that it needed to be restrung. The quality is good on the beads, but it was not what I expected. Since I don't have the skill nor knowledge how to knot them so the will not touch each other and break I am rating this average. If I knew how to create my own necklace I would give it a 4 star. Its pale white blue in color and the 10 mm is better than the 8 mm beads."

Lore
Ancient sailors traveled with aquamarine crystals, believing that it would insure a safe passage, and often slept with the stones under their pillow to insure sound sleep. They believed the siren’s (mermaid) fish-like lower body was made of aquamarine.
