    "I bought these beads to get some larger amythyst beads. But if you want purple, do not buy these beads. Even held up to strong light, you can barely see the purple color. They look more like black onyx, or agate. Since they were inexpensive, I will keep them in case I need some larger black beads for a project. I wouldn't recommend these at all."

    "I expected the violet color from Amethyst; this bead strand didn't show that but very deep and intense dark violet. However the size is good for the $$ and therefore I keep it."

    "I purchased the gemstones to use with the Jewel School DVD instructions. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the stones which prompted me to buy several more items.
