"Gorgeous ring, great color. So many citrines are washed out looking. This one has deep golden color. The addition of citrine stones on the gallery is a bonus. Citrine is my youngest granddaughter's birthstone and I bought this to pass down to her."

"Great value for a gold ring with beautiful large gemstone. The setting on mine is crooked, however, and the stone sits a lot higher than I expected. You can't tell from the pictures online but its sort of mounted on a platform about 2mm high that's also encrusted with small round citrine. It's a little more "over-the-top" then styles I would normally buy, but I have enjoyed wearing it and received compliments from friends that commonly wear larger pieces."

Due to its bright earth tones, Citrine is a popular stone for jewelry designers.
Gloria Swanson and other great old film stars of Hollywood brought citrine to the public awareness in the late 30???s. She wore her own flamboyant citrine jewelry in her films. At that time, it was so unavailable to the general population, that it cost a fortune. Today we can have the same beautiful stones very affordably.
Citrine enjoys a reputation for being usually clean--naturally not included.




Citrine is a quartz crystal. While its name refers to a lemon yellow color, citrine can be found in a range of yellows from light yellow to dark yellow and golden brown. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, citrine is 7. Sources include Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Argentina, Burma (Myanmar), Namibia, Russia, Scotland and Spain.
