Product Description for 4x4mm Heart Shape Canary Tourmaline-T91H000007Tourmaline was named after "turmali", the Sinhalese word for "mixed", probably because of the variety of colors it's found in and the fact that it can be bi-, tri- or parti-colored. Tourmaline ranks a tough 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs' scale of hardness. It is the national gemstone of the U.S. but is found all over the world, with colors varying depending on its origin. Indicolite is the name for the deep blue to greenish-blue variety, and rubellite is the pink-red color.

"Have you seen the sun lately? If not. . .sorry. . . it's here at my house with me pending surgery into a great pair of earrings. This canary tourmaline has a vivid neon color that's unmistakably yellow without doubt. Not a pale yellow something or other color or such. As Robert would say "SPARKLE" with non-stop power. Outstanding workmanship regarding cut, color and clarity. Even when working with such a small size and the shape of a heart no less. Everything is drastic. Color is deep and intense, beautiful and pure . . .hypotizing. I purchased a quantity of 2 and they are a perfectly matched pair as if they were bought as a set. Again, a great pair of stud earrings is in the works. Again, Let the Sunshine. You'll be amazed. Thanks again JTV!! Karen"
