    "I purchased three of these focal beads; one for a pendant idea and the others for matching earrings. Yes, I thought they would work as a truly bold look, but quickly learned they are too heavy for the earring idea, so I will make three necklaces instead. The beads are beautifully polished and smooth. Each is different and has a graduating saturation of color from earth tones to the expected burnished red of carnelian. If you expect a solid carnelian red, you will be disappointed, but if graduated carnelian hues are acceptable for you, then try this item. My necklace will be on a silk cord with the carnelian focal bead as a "backdrop" to a pave diamond donut in a white gold setting. The diamond donut rests perfectly in the 18-20mm indentation that surrounds the carnelian's drilled opening. The silk cord is strung through both pieces and secured with a white gold lobster claw clasp. The effect is striking. I plan different styles for the remaining two focal beads and couldn't be more pleased with the value of this purchase. Thanks for providing the variety and content of your bead product line. This is a wonderful way to personalize and renew existing pieces of jewelry."

    "Unfortunately, the bead we received bears no resemblance to the rich butterscotch shade pictured, but was rather a non-descript mud brown. Because the size is very good, I've passed it along to a friend who is great at crafts, and will do something creative with it. Second review submitted."
