"This ring has a great design, and a good price. The diamonds are completely opaque, however. They're whitish, and as long as you don't look too closely, this ring mimics a much more expensive look. Louping this ring will not inspire confidence, so beware. (Suggestion for JTV: on these inexpensive semi mounts, how about putting better quality white topaz, zircon, or sapphires in all of them, instead of bad diamonds? The overall look will be better, and for stones so small in a pave setting, no one would be able to tell the difference.) It will be interesting to see how this ring holds up over time. I put a ruby in (from one of my older gemstone parcels) and the overall look is pretty nice, at least for right now. I am more impressed with another $149 semi mount I bought from JTV; the white gold & diamonds ring with a sort of buckle design--the diamonds are better. I am thankful for the opportunity to read others' reviews, and for the chance to leave my own; it really helps!"

"After reading other reviews, I thought this would be a great setting for my red andesine labradorite gem. Now I think I will be returning everything. The diamonds, though incredibly small, are opaque to the naked eye. I don't think this is worth the money; it is going back."
