    "I have been looking for these books mostly the northwest one and bought that one too. They are for my husband for Christmas. He has wanted to go and gem/treasure hunt for so long. I have looked for the south and north west here and there and they are the only ones that are always out, ordered them when I saw them on JTV. My only regret is that I did not see the set of 4 with the rough before I got these. Happy treasure hunting! These books will give you the numbers and times of operation of places you can go to do your own gem/treasure hunting. This is really great because now we can plan a trip and stop along the way or plan to just treasure hunt."

    "i read the synopsis and reviews for this book at JTV, and several other book sites, reviews are better than the book though. Sure would have been nice if color plates of gemstones and minerals were included. most of the information in this book is readily available free via travel guides, newspapers, the internet, and rock hound groups in regions that one wishes to visit.

    Not up to JTV's standards for gemsotnes and jewelry, - maybe JTV can author a gemstone/mineral identification chart for the novice like me.
