    "I purchased this pendant as a gift for a discriminating jewelry lover who loves citrine. I think she will like it especially since it is set in 14k gold. The bail is nice sized; you can put different chains on it. The citrine stone is absolutely beautiful and is a golden honey color. I examined it closely and it has a lot of facets. It just sparkles and keep radiating light. I think the cut is much better than the ones I usually see on the parcel stones. I would call this pendant a beautiful and elegant understatement. Thanks JTV!"

    "This pendant is so small, one would need a microscope to see it on a person wearing it. I purchased a beautiful citrine ring and paid top dollar for it and was very satisfied--my first JTV purchase. Then I got a bracelet--also very satisfied. Then I got some earrings--pale stones and very tiny-they looked huge on the website. Now the pendant--the color is very nice but the size is smaller than a baby cricket. Very disappointed."

    Due to its bright earth tones, Citrine is a popular stone for jewelry designers.
    Gloria Swanson and other great old film stars of Hollywood brought citrine to the public awareness in the late 30???s. She wore her own flamboyant citrine jewelry in her films. At that time, it was so unavailable to the general population, that it cost a fortune. Today we can have the same beautiful stones very affordably.
    Citrine enjoys a reputation for being usually clean--naturally not included.




    Citrine is a quartz crystal. While its name refers to a lemon yellow color, citrine can be found in a range of yellows from light yellow to dark yellow and golden brown. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, citrine is 7. Sources include Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Argentina, Burma (Myanmar), Namibia, Russia, Scotland and Spain.
