    "I had purchased the ring that knocked me off my feet. So, I went and ordered this pendant and earrings. This lovely "Water Sapphire" pendant is remarkable by all means. The cut, clarity and quality of the stone to the breathtaking blue-violet color. It is an elegant setting. Simplicity at it's finest. It's very interesting from all different angles how you can see the deep clear blue, the true violet, even a silverish-gray to a smokey yellow on the side. These colorfully intense properties are most noticeable in the sunlight. Especially the blue-violet. This pendant is simply beautiful. Anyone would be satisfied with this purchase. When I get the earrings, maybe I'll put my picture of the set together on my next review. Granted, if I have the nerve."

    "I bought this pendant to match the iolite earrings I had also purchased. The pendant is very nice, slightly larger than the earrings, but the color is a shade paler. Still, it goes well. Again, a nice deep purple blue color which is what I was hoping for. A good purchase for any who are looking for a dark iolite. The setting is fairly sturdy with a large bail. The starter chain is, of course, very thin, so I will probably replace it with a better chain later."

    Iolite is a gemstone with a slight variability in chemical composition between stones. It exhibits a blue-to-violet range of colors and sometimes shows a brownish streak. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, iolite is 7-7.5. It has a greasy luster and primary sources include Burma (Myanmar), Brazil, India, Madagascar, Sri Lanka and the United States.
