"The amethyst is small but it's for my pinky so I like the size. It is a deep rich purple color. Like other reviewers stated, the amethyst appears to be floating in the setting, a very pretty affect. The diamonds are chips, there is no sparkle at all and you can't see them but it looks like milgrain work and adds beauty to the ring. For the price and beauty of the ring it is still worth it. I actually saw this ring a long time ago and was not into purchasing anything but diamond rings, however, I am expanding my collection with colored gemstones (other than colored diamonds lol). Thanks again JTV for a wonderful bargain and beautiful piece of jewelry."

"This ring is awesome! The stone has to be African-great color and beautiful cut. The mounting is beautiful - you can see so much of the stone. It's truly amazing to look at different angles. I love this ring. It is one of my favorites and I really don't wear white gold. I would love to have the opportunity to purchase the mounting separately and choose a stone of another color. You'll love it for the price"

"I saw this ring on a turntable and rushed to my computer to buy it. It's absolutely gorgeous. The color is deep and vibrant, and the checkerboard cut makes it sparkle like crazy, expecially in the sun. In certain lights the color seems to glow from within. It's very feminine in terms of size -- not too large. This ring looks very expensive--I can't believe it was less than $100!"
