"This cross is well made with a nice size bail. Yes, the color is not the deep blue but at 44.00, I would not expect that it would be. However, the color of my cross is a nice clear lavender and it has a lot of sparkle. I am very happy with this pendant and I purchased the earrings as well. Great for anyone who loves pretty crosses. Thanks JTV."

"I ordered this cross with some trepidation after having been disappointed with a similar purchase from another source. Imagine my surprise to see how much color and sparkle is in this cross! It was over one hundred fifty dollars cheaper than the cross I returned elsewhere, and I am happy to recommend this purchase to everyone. I also bought the earrings which match quite nicely. Another great buy and value from JTV. Thanks!"

"They are nice Tanzanite crosses. Yes I know that they are not the great top color tanzanite. But they are very pretty. They are a nice purple/lavender color. They are not washed out in color. They are well made and have a nice size bail. They are not real big but not small either. Just a nice size. They are lovely with a very nice sparkle!! I purchased two. One for me and my neice. I also purchase earrings that just about match these crosses. I say they are great for every day wear and the discount price is great. They make very nice gifts!!! What are you waiting for. Thanks JTV!!!!!!"

Fast Facts
| The mineral zoisite was discovered around 1805 in the Austrian area by a Baron for whom it was named. It was usually brown in color, often nearly opaque. |
| The discovery by accident of the tanzanite version, in the late 1960's was a great surprise in Tanzania Africa, where it was first thought to be sapphire crystals. |
| The name Tanzanite was coined by Tiffany who had first and exclusive rights to the pretty blue violet mineral for many years. |
| Wearing a well-cut Tanzanite communicates self-confidence, individuality, and maturity. |
Its brilliant color and its exclusive origin in Tanzania combine to make Tanzanite a unique and highly sought after gemstone. |
|
Tanzanite is a variety of zoisite. It has naturally occurring shades of blue, green, yellow, pink, brown and khaki but virtually all gemstone quality crystals are heat treated to produce the highly valued shades of sapphire blue, amethyst and blue violet. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, tanzanite is 6.5-7. The prime source of all the world’s tanzanite is in Tanzania near Arusha.
