"I purchased this ring for $2500 and had it appraised. It is my first and only tanzanite ring. It appraised for $5750. The description said 3.5 carats of tanzanite...however the stone weighed 4 carats according to the appraisal. The stone is so mesmerizing in the sunlight and under flouresant lights with deep blue sparkling colors. At night, it turns to a deep purple-blue color. I just can't stop staring at it. I can't wear it while I'm driving, it'll cause me to have a wreck. ;-) This ring is just stunning. I've read the other reviews and to comment on those, there will always be a few bad eggs in every bunch. I would recommend taking that risk, you never know....you may wind up with the golden one, like me."

"I chose this ring after looking for days online as well as talking to personal shoppers at JTV who supposedly looked at it live. The ring is as pictured; however there are no red flashes or even much sparkle. The semi-bezel seting was pretty, however the stone somewhat jiggled in the setting which made me worry about possibly losing it if I wore it, no matter how careful. The side diamonds are only 20 pts. (which I knew), But I thought it was more a pave' setting from the way it was described and they were just beadset and very ordinary looking. I must say however that despite my disappointment in the ring, that the custoner service/personal shopper was terrific. They sent me out a prepaid label and I recieved a full refund. So, even though the ring was a dissapointment ~ the company stood by their promise of good customer service and took good care of me. It is so hard to buy something like this over the internet. And as conveinant as it is, if the items are not as described it becomes a hassel. JTV is a good company, Maybe I just recieved a bad stone."

"Still love this ring--wear it daily to work, but when I looked at it the other day, had lost one of the stones--after wearing the ring for three months, I am SOOO disappointed. I am easy on my rings and always take care not to hit them against anything. Oh well...."

"I ordered this item # with 3.50 carat. This is 3.60 but---this is a WOW ring. First, I would like to thank Jack for all his help, he was very helpful and always called me back if I left him a message. Girls, if you need help with this $ amount call Jack, he is wonderful!!! He goes into the fault and looks at anything you ask him to. I had my ring sent for appraisal and the written appraisal is--ready--$4700.00. Couldn't believe it, neither could Jack. This is one of a life time buy for me and if you can afford it all I can say is BUY IT!!!"

Fast Facts
| The mineral zoisite was discovered around 1805 in the Austrian area by a Baron for whom it was named. It was usually brown in color, often nearly opaque. |
| The discovery by accident of the tanzanite version, in the late 1960's was a great surprise in Tanzania Africa, where it was first thought to be sapphire crystals. |
| The name Tanzanite was coined by Tiffany who had first and exclusive rights to the pretty blue violet mineral for many years. |
| Wearing a well-cut Tanzanite communicates self-confidence, individuality, and maturity. |
Its brilliant color and its exclusive origin in Tanzania combine to make Tanzanite a unique and highly sought after gemstone. |
|
Tanzanite is a variety of zoisite. It has naturally occurring shades of blue, green, yellow, pink, brown and khaki but virtually all gemstone quality crystals are heat treated to produce the highly valued shades of sapphire blue, amethyst and blue violet. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, tanzanite is 6.5-7. The prime source of all the world’s tanzanite is in Tanzania near Arusha.
