    "I liked the earrings and will probably keep them. I would caution potential buyers, however, not to expect a lot of sparkle either through the citron and certainly not the diamond accents. So much metal was required to hold the "accents" in place that the overall appearance looked gray and yellow. The design would have looked richer and showcased the citron much better without the "accents"."

    "The earrings are gorgeous and show really well. I like the color of the stones and the look of the hoops. My only issue is the posts are a little thicker than the average and the earrings make my ears ache because of the post size. Overall though, I think its a great buy."

    Gloria Swanson and other great old film stars of Hollywood brought citrine to the public awareness in the late 30???s. She wore her own flamboyant citrine jewelry in her films.     Citrine enjoys a reputation for being usually clean--naturally not included.




    Citrine is a quartz crystal. While its name refers to a lemon yellow color, citrine can be found in a range of yellows from light yellow to dark yellow and golden brown. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, citrine is 7. Sources include Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Argentina, Burma (Myanmar), Namibia, Russia, Scotland and Spain.
