"I was very pleased when I saw the ring for the first tme, but was amazed that it was just laying in a cardboard box! The center stone is beautiful and very clean to the naked eye. But most of the baguetts have slight inclusions. But I will definitely keep the ring for it's beauty and obvious value. I think the thing that impresses me the most is 6 prongs on the center stone and the weight of the ring itself. Would buy again if I didn't have it already."

"I am delighted to say that, when I opened the box with my new bauble inside it this morning, I was extremely proud of my purchase! I first fell in love with this ring about a year ago when I saw it in a local retailer's case. The version that I saw then was approximately the same cost (maybe $200 less) but only half the size. I didn't buy it that day and, when I went back, it was gone. I began pricing this ring in different stores, and all of them priced out at a much higher amount. Then, I happened to think about trying JTV, and there it was! Boy, am I glad that I didn't get the first one now! My new diamond ring is twice as large for basically the same amount of money!!! And the quality is very good- no less than what I expected. I've purchased other rings at JTV, and I've always been happy with them and with the customer service that I've received. JTV, keep up the great work!!!"

"This was my first purchase at jtv. I immediately took ring for appraisal. $4780.00 Not bad. I was however shocked at the cardboard box. The ring lacks the sparkle that I had expected but since all the stones are clear, I will probably keep it. I would probably not recommend it. I have since made several other purchases and I am anxious to see if they measure up."

Fast Facts
| Diamond is the hardest known gemstone on earth. |
| In 1477, Archduke Maximillian gave his betrothed a ring set with a diamond as a love token, making it the first recorded diamond engagement ring. |
| Diamond comes from the Greek word “adamas” meaning invincible. |
| Some beautiful purple color garnets will often be found in kimberlite (blue ground) soil samples in diamond rich areas and called diamond indicators. |
As diamonds are formed by nature, most naturally develop minute imperfections known as inclusions. A diamond is considered “clean” if a trained eye cannot see inclusions when viewing the diamond through a color corrected lens at 10 times magnification. |
|
Diamond is crystallized carbon, the only gem composed of a single element. The most popular diamonds are traditionally colorless, but they can also be found in yellow and brown colors. Although much rarer, diamonds known as “fancies” also come in blue, red, pink, green, orange, black, lavender and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, diamond is the world’s hardest substance at 10. It has a high luster and primary sources include South Africa, Namibia, Australia, Botswana, Russia, Zaire, Brazil, Ghana, Angola, Central African Republic and Canada.
