    "I enjoyed reading this book. Second book I have by Ms. Matlins. I think however what I'd really like to buy is same kind of guide with more emphasis on exotics or rare stones. I want to READ about the stones I SEE and HEAR bits and pieces about on Jewelry Television and on this website. JTV needs to hire a ghost writer and start interviewing their own traveling buyers!"

    "this is a must have for anyone who collects gems. The information given is easily understood, you don't need a gemological degree for this book to be useful. It gives you details of what questions to ask when buying a stone, how to understand a gemological report from various labs and even sample pictures so you can't go wrong. Fantastic book with a wealth of information for everyone."
