    "These are so neat. The perfect way to determine if you want to set a stone in yellow or white gold. I did see comment from another user stating they are tight and would be harmful to softer stones. I just took my pliers and squeezed it together to make the initial opening further apart and it is not not so snug."

    "This item is a really unique way to display your favorite stones or just see how they would look in a solitaire setting. The one precaution is that they do hold the stone very snuggly, so I wouldn't try it with a stone that's mid to low end on the hardness scale. Might be OK, just see what you think about the tension before you slap a fragile stone in one. I'll probably order more myself."

    "I purchased these awhile ago and they work extremely well. You can get a better visual of how a stone might look mounted. I don't know who came up with the idea to make these but I think they rank right up there with paper towels. I would say these are a must have tool to go along with your gemstones."
