    "I was surprised how really nice this necklace was. The chunks of turquoise are large and polished. The smokey stones are gorgeous. It is also a heavy piece...but not too heavy...like "fine jewelry" heavy. I think it will be very versatile to wear. I could even attach an enhancer to this. I also love the length. I am very happy about this purchase. Thanks JTV for bringing us some contemporary, youthful pieces like this."

    "I've received so many compliments on this necklace! It can be worn different ways depending where you attach the clasp, whether you want to have some dangle as a "y" necklace or keep it circular. Two hot gemstones paired together with the silver, I love it!"

    Literally meaning “Turkish stone,” Turquoise once came to Western Europe through Turkey.

    Iran is the primary supplier of Turquoise today.





    Turquoise is a translucent to opaque gemstone. It exhibits a range of blue and green colors from sky-blue to blue-green to apple-green. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, turquoise is 5-6. Sources include Iran (near Nishapur), Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Israel, Mexico, Tanzania, and the United States.
