    "Had looked at this ring for a long time online and finally ordered it. It has a beautiful design but the quality of the stones was very poor. It was the first spessertite garnet I had gotten and looked forward to a bright orange, but mine was poorly cut and had browns in it and the color was not even. It was not what I expected from a garnet which usually sparkles no matter how it is cut. Sent it back and was very sad to do this."

    "Not JTV's best. The metal and diamonds are DULL, and one of the accent stones is missing. Not sure what happened here, but I was very disappointed in this ring."

    "I love this ring. It is very different, very designer. The quality of the stones & the amount of heavy 14K gold is amaizing. This ring is all finished on the inside. It lays low and nice on the finger. I am so happy I was able to pick it up for such a low price. In the sun it looks like the 4th of July!!!!!"

    Spessartite is a rare garnet ranging from a yellowish-orange to an intense fiery orange known as mandarin garnet.




    Spessartite is a brilliant transparent gemstone. The colors of spessartite garnets can range from a bright vibrant orange to a deep red-orange color, and even some brownish and greenish oranges. Spessartite was once just a collector's gem but moved into mainstream gemology in the 1990s. Spessartite is 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs' scale of hardness and, like all garnet, is untreated, so the beautiful color that you see is strictly as nature created it.
