"This ring is SO sparkly! The stone (mine is more of a Swiss than a Sky blue) is an elongated rectangle cut, so it really slims the hand. I don't know what kind of cut (cuts) were used on it, but it has a LOT of faceting. The band is split along the side with the diamond accents right next to the stone, so the design is elegant, yet simple. My only disappointment is that the stone can show a "dead spot" of no color in the center under certain lights. Although the carat weight is larger, I have no problem with it looking overdone on my small fingers. It's really lovely. Waiting for the prasiolite. Recommendation: get 'em while they last!"

"The stone in this ring is gorgeous! It really does look like an aquamarine. Very clean even under magnification. I love the setting and there is plenty of silver to hold the stone. My only problem was with the shoulder stones. The claws holding them were not burnished down, and as a result were VERY sharp and caught on everything. I love the ring so much though and didn`t want to send it back, so I very gently pushed them down myself. I may get a friend who is a jeweler to smooth them down a bit.
Over all, I am VERY satisfied with the purchase though. I have wanted an icy blue topaz in a large size for quite awhile now. This fills the bill perfectly!"

Fast Facts
| The origin of the name could be from the ancient Topasos Islands near Greece. |
| Topaz can be very costly and rare when they occur naturally in unusual colors. All colors have been a popular choice for jewelry since European royalty started collecting gemstones. |
| Europeans preferred colorless Topaz as a substitute for diamond when those stones were unavailable. The reason was because it was often available in excellent clarity rough and took a beautiful high polish. |
Topaz is the birthstone of December. |
|
