"I agree with the other reviewers on this ring. For the price, the ring is very nice. The stone is large and very sparkely. The color is very light, you have to see it under certain light to see the light blue hue. I think the price was a steal and yes I will wear this ring. A great ring for the value, if you are looking for perfection, spend a little more money and get something else from JTV."

"I saw the other reviews before ordering this, but thought I'd take a chance. True, the stone is pale, but it is not colorless. And, depending on the light and the angle, it shows more blue in it. It's a lovely size and so sparkling. I'm very happy with this ring, especially for the price and size of stone. If you are expecting a saturation of color, you will be disappointed. But I find it to have enough color and to be beautiful!"

"I couldn't wait for this ring to arrive! The aquamarine stone in the video presentation of this ring was so blue and sparkly!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, my ring was neither blue-(colorless, not just light!) nor was it sparkley. I should have listened to the other review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Saw this on TV, and ordered it because it looked like it had lovely color. The one I received was colorless, even in the 'ever popular'! Maybe others in this group have color, but I didn't feel like shipping them back and forth forever. This was a big OOPS. I blame the lights in the studio for giving the ring color it didn't own. I mean, it had NO COLOR, not just light. Fortunately, JTV takes them back, and all you have is a little disappointment."

Lore
Ancient sailors traveled with aquamarine crystals, believing that it would insure a safe passage, and often slept with the stones under their pillow to insure sound sleep. They believed the siren’s (mermaid) fish-like lower body was made of aquamarine.
