    "Tsavorite garnet has to be my favorite Green stone out there! It's brighty, bold color really stands out! Mine had a small brown inclusion on one corner, but it was easily hidden with a bezel setting. Much darker than what you see in the picture. And sparkles for days! When you have Tsavorite, who need Emeralds?"

    In 1967, British geologist Campbell Bridges was prospecting in northeastern Tanzania when he discovered green grossularite (a member of the garnet family). Today we call these beautiful and highly transparent green gems tsavorite.
    Tsavorites are characterized by a range of brilliant greens from spring-like pale green to intense blue green to deep forest green.




    Tsavorite is a gemstone within the Garnet family.
    It exhibits a green to emerald green color. On Mohs
    scale of hardness, tsavorite is 7-7.5. It has a vitreous
    luster and sources include Kenya and Tanzania.
